Privacy Policy
Lucky Tissues (luckytissues.com) is a free browser game. This policy explains what information the game stores, why, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
1. The short version
- No account, no email, no real name needed.
- Your scores and settings live in your own browser.
- If you use the leaderboards or send gifts, our server keeps a random player ID, the nickname and avatar you pick, and your run results.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the game is played. We may show ads from Google AdSense and may advertise the game with Google Ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland we only use cookies for these after you agree.
- You can delete everything with one button (see section 7).
2. What is stored on your device
The game uses your browser’s local storage to remember your best combo, today’s and all-time pulls, badges, settings (music, sound, day or night mode, wish), the names you type for “Pulling for”, your nickname and avatar, and a random player ID. This data stays in your browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
3. What our server stores
Only when the online features are available, the game sends the following to our server:
- Player: a random player ID created in your browser, the nickname you choose (or “Player XXXX” by default) and the avatar you pick.
- Runs: for runs that reach a 10 combo, the final combo, day or night mode, whether you were pulling for someone, whether you used a continue, the time the run started and ended, and the time between taps. The tap timing is used only to keep the leaderboards fair.
- Gifts: when you send a gift, the recipient’s name, your optional gift signature, the wish, day or night mode, skin and number of pulls are stored on our server to display the gift. The shared link contains only a random gift code. Gift records, including these names, are kept for up to about 13 months and then deleted. Gift recipients and gift signatures are not displayed on the leaderboards.
- Worldwide counter: how many tissues were pulled each day, with no link to any player.
Nicknames and avatars on the leaderboards are public. Please do not use your real full name or anything you would not want others to see.
Name check. Nicknames, gift names and gift signatures are checked on our server against a list of words we do not allow, and names that do not pass are rejected. We may also hide a name by hand. A hidden nickname appears as “Player XXXX” on the leaderboards, and a hidden gift can no longer be opened. Your past scores are kept.
4. Hosting and technical data
The site and its database run on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not store your IP address in the game database.
5. Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to count visits and game events (for example, how many runs reach Infinity or how many gifts are sent). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only used after you accept them in our consent message. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie or privacy settings link on the game page. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Google AdSense (when ads are shown). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. If other ad networks serve ads here, we will list them in this section.
Google Ads (when we advertise the game). We may advertise Lucky Tissues on Google and its partner sites. To see whether those ads work, we may use Google Ads conversion measurement, which counts visits and game events that follow a click on our ad. We may also use remarketing, which can show our ads to people who visited this site before. Both use Google advertising cookies and Google Analytics data. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they are only used after you agree. You can turn off personalized ads at any time in Ads Settings.
Rewarded videos. If you choose to watch a short video to keep your combo, that video is an ad served by Google. Watching it is always optional.
6. How long we keep it
- Run and gift records: up to about 13 months, then deleted automatically.
- Your player profile (ID, nickname, avatar): until you delete it.
- Data in your browser: until you clear it or press “Delete my data”.
- Google Analytics data: according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account (14 months).
7. Delete your data
Press the button below on the device you play on. It deletes your player profile, your runs and the gifts you sent from our server, and clears the game’s data from this browser. Gifts you received stay counted for the person who sent them, but your name is removed from them.
Played on several devices? Press it on each one, because each browser has its own random player ID.
8. Why we use this data (EU/UK)
We process game and leaderboard data because it is needed to provide the features you use and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the leaderboards fair and the site secure. We use analytics and advertising cookies in the EEA, UK and Switzerland only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Residents of California and some other US states may ask what personal information we have and ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information for money. When ads or ad measurement are used, the cookies described in section 5 may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under those laws. You can opt out with the privacy settings link on the game page where it is shown, or in Ads Settings. To use any of these rights, press “Delete my data” above or contact us at the address below.
10. Children
Lucky Tissues is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has entered personal information (for example, a real name as a nickname), use “Delete my data” or contact us and we will remove it.
11. Where data is processed
Cloudflare and Google operate worldwide, so data may be processed outside your country. They provide safeguards for international transfers as described in their own privacy terms.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on the game page.
