Why I made this
I grew up in a religious family and was always taught to pray. I was never quite sure I believed, but I liked the idea of a small moment each day to hope for something good. So I made Lucky Tissues: a box of tissues and a little hope. Every tissue you pull is a small blessing, whether you believe in luck or not. Pull one for yourself, or pull a few for someone you love.
— Joe
How do you play this tapping game?
- Under the box, choose who you are pulling for (just you, or someone else) and a wish: Luck, Love, Money, Joy or Mix.
- Tap anywhere on the game, click, or press the Space bar to pull one tissue. On a computer it works as a spacebar clicker game: every press pulls one tissue (holding the key down does not).
- Pull again within 0.8 seconds to keep your combo going. The window tightens a little with every level family, down to 0.6 seconds from Legendary up. The ring on the counter shows how much time you have left. The meter at the top shows how close you are to the next level.
- Reach a combo milestone to level up. The sky, the music and the flying tissues all change as you climb.
- Pause for longer than that and the run ends. Your best combo and total pulls are saved.
What are the combo levels?
In Lucky Tissues, the tissue box dances to the music the whole time, and its moves get bigger as you climb. Levels come in families of four: Lucky, Very Lucky, Super Lucky and Mega Lucky, then Disco, Hyper, Ultra and Mega Disco, and so on up to Infinity. Every new family brings a new stage and a new outfit for the box, and every step inside a family adds one more thing: lights, then searchlights, then fireworks, then confetti. The first level comes after just 10 pulls, every gap is a little longer than the one before, and the combo window tightens a little with each family. Every level-up pauses your combo for 1.5 seconds, so you can rest your hand while the title is on screen.
| Combo | Level | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Lucky family | Clover pin, then a sweatband (and legs to run on), wristbands, then sneakers and cheer pom-poms; bunting, string lights and the first backup dancers | |
| Disco family | The lights go down and the dance floor lights up, and your crew copies your moves | |
| Spotlight family | Your own stage show. Hyper Spotlight pulls 2 tissues at a time, Ultra Spotlight 3 | |
| Superstar family | A stadium-sized victory lap | |
| Legendary family | The sky turns into a fairy tale | |
| Mythic family | Magic fills the air and the box starts to float | |
| Olympus family | Golden glory high above the clouds | |
| Cosmic family | Off the ground and into outer space | |
| Infinity family | Every family's headpiece in turn. The final look is yours to discover | |
| 10,210, 10,710… | Mega Infinity x2, x3… | A new level every 500 pulls, up to a 99,999 combo |
Which wishes can you choose?
Every pull in Lucky Tissues shows a small wish where you tapped, counting up through the run: Luck (a green clover), Love (a pink heart), Money (a gold coin) or Joy (an orange star). Pick Mix and each pull draws one at random, so a run reads like Luck +1, Love +2, Joy +3.
How do you pull luck for someone else?
Tap Pulling for under the box and type a friend’s name. Every tissue you pull now counts toward their gift. Once you have pulled 10 or more for them, open Share to send the gift link. When they open it, they watch a replay of your run: the box dances while the count climbs toward your total. Then a greeting card shows your wish, and your name if you added one. They can pull some luck back for you or pass it on to someone else.
What is Good Night mode?
Lucky Tissues has a night side too, made for a satisfying little reset after a long day. Tap the moon under the box to switch from Good Day to Good Night. The sky turns to night, the music calms down, and every pull wipes something away: Burnout −1, Stress −2, Drama −3. Pick Burnout, Stress, Drama or Bad luck, or Mix. The levels become Tidy, Squeaky Clean, Groove, Zen, Glow and Starlight, and you can wipe the bad vibes away for a friend too.
Why play Lucky Tissues?
Lucky Tissues gives you a satisfying reward from the very first taps, and a reason to come back.
- A reward in seconds. Your first level-up comes after just 10 pulls, and the sky, the music and the box’s outfit change as you climb.
- Room to keep going. Nine level families take you from Lucky to Infinity, with 12 badges per skin, three stars each, and combos up to 99,999.
- Fair and simple. No idle earnings and no upgrades to buy. Your combo grows only while you keep pulling.
- A game you can give. Most tapping games end with a score. In Lucky Tissues, a run of 10 or more pulls becomes a gift: your friend watches it replay on the stage and gets a card with your wish.
- Calm when you need it. Good Night mode turns each pull into wiping something away, Lo-fi Chill is one of the music styles, and every level-up gives your hand a 1.5-second rest.
What else is in Lucky Tissues?
- Four music styles (Sunny Pop, Carnival, Lo-fi Chill, 8-bit Party) that build up as your combo grows, or no music at all.
- Two tap sounds: a soft tissue-pull swish, or musical notes that play a little tune as you tap.
- Golden tissues that show up during long runs. Tap one and the box pulls by itself for 3 seconds.
- A daily lucky charm: once a day, when a run of 50 or more breaks, tap “Keep combo” under the box to pick up right where you stopped.
- Leaderboards for the top combos and the most generous players (the most tissues sent as gifts), today and this week, with 12 tissue-box avatars to pick from. Gift recipients are kept off the leaderboards.
- 12 combo badges for every skin: one for finishing each of the 9 level families, plus 3 more at 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000. Each skin has its own set to collect. Each badge has 3 stars. Tap an earned badge to watch its dance.
- Gift links: pull for a friend and send the run. They watch it replay on the stage and get a greeting card, no app needed.
- A luck card: a shareable image with today’s pulls and your best combo.
- Works everywhere: Lucky Tissues runs on a phone, tablet or computer, in any browser.
Seasonal skins
Lucky Tissues gets a new look for the holidays. Each skin has its own costumes, stages and badges to collect.
- Halloween 🎃: send a friend a little Halloween luck, with short wishes to copy and a spider to chase off at night.
Lucky Tissues vs. the real tissue box challenge
The party game where you pull every tissue out of a box as fast as you can is fun, and some things only the real one does. Here is how the tapping game version compares.
| Real tissue box challenge | Lucky Tissues | |
|---|---|---|
| Tissues | Runs out when the box is empty | Never runs out |
| Cost and mess | A box of tissues to buy and pick up | Free, nothing to clean |
| Playing together | Everyone in the room can watch and cheer | Pull for a friend and send a gift link; they watch your run replay |
| Feel | Real paper in your hands | Sound and animation only |
| Scoring | Someone has to time it | Combo, levels and badges are counted for you |
Tips for a longer combo
- Rhythm beats speed, as in any good tapping game. The window starts at 0.8 seconds and ends at 0.6, so a steady two to four pulls per second is safer than fast bursts with gaps.
- On a phone, alternate two fingers or two thumbs.
- On a computer, tap the Space bar with a relaxed hand, or alternate Space with mouse clicks.
- Leave the music on. Tapping along to the beat makes a steady rhythm much easier to hold.
- Watch for the golden tissue. Tapping it gives your hand three seconds off while the combo keeps climbing.
Frequently asked questions
Why “Lucky Tissues” and not “Lucky Tissue”?
Because one lucky tissue is never enough. Every tap pulls another one, and every one is a little wish, for you or for someone you love.
Is this tapping game free?
Yes. Lucky Tissues is free to play in any modern browser. There is nothing to download and no account to create: open the page and start pulling.
Is Lucky Tissues a clicker game?
Yes, a cozy one. Like other clicker games you keep tapping to climb, but there are no idle earnings or upgrades to buy: your combo, the stages and the outfits grow only while you keep pulling, and a short break ends the run.
Does Lucky Tissues work on a phone?
Yes. It runs in mobile browsers on iPhone and Android, on tablets, and on desktop. It is a tapping game first: on a phone you tap anywhere on the game; on a computer it plays like a spacebar clicker game: click or press the Space bar.
How fast do I need to tap to keep a combo?
At first each pull has to land within 0.8 seconds of the last one, so a little more than one pull per second is enough. The window tightens with each level family: 0.75 seconds at Disco, 0.7 at Spotlight, 0.65 at Superstar and 0.6 from Legendary up. A ring around the counter shows the time left, and the combo pauses for 1.5 seconds every time you level up.
What is the highest level?
The last family is Infinity, which starts at an 8,210 combo, after Disco (120), Spotlight (400), Superstar (915), Legendary (1,680), Mythic (2,775), Olympus (4,280) and Cosmic (6,210). Each family has four steps; every step takes a little longer than the one before until the gap reaches 500. Past Mega Infinity (9,710) you level up every 500 pulls. A single run tops out at a 99,999 combo, where the counter turns into an infinity sign.
Is there a night mode?
Yes. Tap the moon under the box for Good Night: a night sky, calmer music, and every pull wipes away Burnout, Stress, Drama or Bad luck instead of adding luck. Tap the sun to switch back.
Can I send luck to a friend?
Yes. Tap Pulling for under the box, type their name and play. Each run of 10 or more pulls makes a separate gift. Open Share to send that run's gift link. When they open it, they watch a short replay of your run, then get a greeting card with your wish, and can pull some back.
How do I earn more stars on a badge?
Each badge has 3 stars. You get the first when you earn the badge. For the second, reach that combo again in a run where you do not use a continue. For the third, reach it on 5 different days. Any run that reaches the badge’s combo counts, so replay it whenever you like; tap a badge on the Badges page to see which stars are still missing.
Is my progress saved?
Lucky Tissues saves your best combo, today’s pulls, all-time pulls and badges in your browser on this device. They are not synced between devices, and clearing your browser’s site data resets them.
Does pulling tissues really bring good luck?
No game can change your luck. Lucky Tissues is a small, playful ritual: a quick way to shake off a bad moment, reset your mood, and laugh at a cartoon tissue box.
Can I change or turn off the music?
Yes. The Music button offers four styles (Sunny Pop, Carnival, Lo-fi Chill and 8-bit Party) or no music, plus a choice between a tissue-pull sound and musical notes for each tap. The Sound setting in the Music menu mutes everything.
Are there seasonal versions?
Yes. Lucky Tissues has seasonal skins with their own costumes, stages and badges. Switch skins from the Skins button at the top of the game.
